Events & Ticketing

Ticket purchases

All ticket sales and payment processing are handled by Eventbrite under their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By purchasing a ticket, you also agree to Eventbrite's terms.

Changes & cancellations
  • BizRise reserves the right to change event speakers, topics, schedule, or venue with reasonable notice.
  • In the event of a full cancellation by BizRise, your sole remedy is a refund of the face value of your ticket. BizRise is not liable for travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred.
  • Ticket transfers may be permitted at our discretion. Contact us before the event date to request a transfer.
Refunds

Refund eligibility is determined by the ticket type purchased on Eventbrite. Please refer to the refund policy stated on the event listing at the time of purchase. BizRise does not issue refunds outside of Eventbrite's refund process except in cases of event cancellation.

Photography & recording

BizRise events may be photographed or recorded for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to your likeness being captured and used in this context. If you have objections, please notify us in writing before the event.

04

Paid Service Engagements

When you engage BizRise for consulting, branding, web design, social media, or other paid services, the specific terms of that engagement — including deliverables, payment schedule, revision rounds, timelines, and ownership of work product — are governed by the written proposal or service agreement provided to you at the time of engagement.

Payment
  • Payment terms are specified in each service agreement. Most engagements require a deposit before work begins.
  • Late payments may result in paused work until the outstanding balance is resolved.
  • All fees are in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
Revisions & scope
  • The number of included revision rounds is defined in each service agreement. Work outside the agreed scope may incur additional fees.
  • Significant changes to project scope requested after work has begun may require a revised proposal and timeline.
Ownership of work product
  • Upon receipt of full payment, clients receive full ownership of final deliverables as specified in the service agreement (e.g., final logo files, completed website, written content).
  • BizRise retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
  • Work-in-progress files, source documents, and working files remain the property of BizRise unless explicitly included in the agreement.
Results & outcomes
No guarantee of specific results. BizRise provides expert guidance, strategy, and implementation support — but business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, client follow-through, and competitive environment. We do not guarantee specific revenue, growth, or other business outcomes from any engagement.
05

Podcast Guests

By applying to appear on the BizRise Podcast and participating in a recorded interview, you agree to the following:

  • Recording consent — you consent to being recorded (audio and/or video) and to BizRise publishing, distributing, and promoting the episode across all platforms, including but not limited to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and social media channels.
  • Content ownership — BizRise owns the published episode recording. You retain ownership of your own name, likeness, and the information you share.
  • Accuracy of information — you are responsible for ensuring that information you share about yourself, your business, and any third parties is accurate, truthful, and does not infringe on any third-party rights.
  • Promotional use — BizRise may create clips, graphics, and promotional materials from your episode. We will use your name and business name in connection with episode promotion.
  • No compensation — guest appearances are unpaid. The value exchange is mutual exposure and audience access.
  • Removal requests — if you request removal of your episode after publication, BizRise will consider requests on a case-by-case basis but is not obligated to remove published content.
06

Code of Conduct

BizRise is built on community, and we take the quality and safety of that community seriously. The following standards apply to all events, online interactions, and service engagements.

  • Disruptive behavior at events, including aggressive solicitation, will result in removal.
  • Any behavior that is threatening, abusive, or illegal will result in immediate removal and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
BizRise reserves the right to remove any person from an event or terminate any service engagement for violations of this code of conduct, without refund and without prior notice.
